Encounters Canada 2
This week has gone by so fast! It`s almost time to come home! We`ve all been really busy here lately, and have had the opportunity to visit so many interesting places. Yesterday, we visited the Canadian War Museum which focused on absolutely every battle that Canadians have ever been involved in throughout history, and afterwards travelled to a cemetery to place candles on the graves of Canadian Soldiers. Although it was extremely cold outside, the experience was definitely very moving and inspirational. Today I will be going to Rideau Hall (the Governor General`s home), and to an Ottawa Senators hockey game!! I`m really enjoying this trip, and I hope to tell you a lot more about it very soon!

Encounters Canada
So far this Encounters Canada trip in Ottawa has been great. Today our group went on a tour through Parliament and were able to witness Question Period. It was quite interesting to say the least. I've met lots of new people from all over Canada, and hope to talk to even more.
I'll try to post as much as I can, but that's it for now!!!

Google Analytics
I have installed the Google Analytics tracking program on this blog, and it has been running since the last week of October. This feature can be found and installed on any website, for free, at http://www.google.com/analytics/.
Since its installation I have had 88 visitors to my blog, from places like Italy, Spain, Columbia, Serbia and Montenegro, the United States, and Canada. Out of the 88 visitors, 50 have been "absolute unique," meaning they have only visited my page once.
Hopefully, I'll be able to get a visitor from every continent!

One Laptop Per Child
The innovative idea for the "One Laptop Per Child" (OLPC) program was founded by Nicholas Negroponte, as a means of giving children in developing countries an educational opportunity that they would otherwise never have. For a limited time, the public can donate to this worthy cause through a "give one, get one" program, giving one laptop to a child in a developing country, while receiving one laptop for themselves.
For more information, visit the OLPC official website at http://www.laptop.org/.
You can also visit http://bcc.rcav.org/07-01-29/columns.htm, for a newspaper column regarding this cause.
